Current
State of the IT Support Industry
In the IT support business, there are basically three kinds
of support. (And, we don't fit into any of these categories.)
1. We are NOT a "Fix It Solution."
Some companies (mainly one man shows) are offering a “fix
it” solution – waiting until something breaks.
When something goes wrong, they’ll come out to fix it
– without thinking of offering any preventative maintenance.
They are driving all over town putting out fires – always
on the go and working on multiple things at once. In other
words, not accessible to you.
2. We are NOT a "Pre-Paid Insurance."
Much like the “fix it solution,” IT companies
offering “insurance” will only visit you when
something breaks. On top of that, they’ll ask you to
pre-pay for a block of time upfront. They hold your money
and wait for something to go wrong. Once again, they aren’t
interested in providing preventative maintenance.
3. We are NOT a "One Time Consultant."
Instead of being in the relationship for the long haul, they
are more interested in working with you on a project by project
basis. They are the mercenaries of the industry - getting
in and out quick and with your money in hand. They don't care
about the long term success of your company.
InhouseIT
IS YOUR TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
As an inhouseIT client, you’ll receive impeccable service
from your very own IT Manager – dedicated to visiting
you onsite on a regular basis. Not only will he or she take
care of any difficulties, but they’ll provide standard
maintenance and planning. As always, you get what you pay
for every month. Essentially, inhouseIT becomes “your
technology department.”

inhouseIT Service Plans
Instead of waiting for something to go wrong, we provide each
of our clients with a “Service Plan” providing
regular maintenance, support, planning, and leadership. As
you become an inhouseIT client, we will consult you on the
most appropriate Service Plan – determining how many
hours of service per month you’ll need in order to keep
your network in top shape.
After determining the appropriate service plan for you, we’ll
select an IT Manager from our staff to become “your”
very own IT Manager making regular onsite visits. Your dedicated
IT Manager will learn the specific needs and idiosyncrasies
of your company and industry – becoming familiar with
the specific software and hardware of your business. Instead
of having a random IT Manager try to learn your system each
time, you’ll have a specific person that will learn
what you do once - and stick with you.
If there are issues to resolve, he or she will take care of
them. Remaining time will be spent on regular maintenance
and planning for your future needs. We won’t sit around
wasting time if there aren’t specific problems; we’ll
take advantage of that time to foresee issues that may arise.
And, everything is completely documented so everyone knows
exactly what has been accomplished.
If you are working with a “one man show” IT company
and you're not satisfied with their performance, it could
be quite a painful process to find a new company to meet your
needs. But with inhouseIT, if for some reason our choice of
IT Manager isn’t working within your company’s
culture, we’ll assign a new one. You have depth and
choice of who you work with – fitting the unique culture
of your company. With inhouseIT, finding a new IT Manager
that works for you is a simple process.
If you are a full-time, onsite IT Professional, we don’t
want to take away your job – we want to partner with
you. Because we manage hundreds of servers and thousands of
users, we can bring enterprise level experience to your IT
department and make you shine. In a short period of time,
we can do all the IT tasks that might be unfamiliar to your
team – everything from installing a new server to an
entire network upgrade. We do things every day that you might
not have done at all. Let us partner with you to make it less
painful and a lot quicker process. Let us help you become
more of a director of IT, and let us do the dirty work.
Three Strong Reasons to Choose inhouseIT
Below, you’ll find three of the strongest reasons to
choose inhouseIT as your technology department:
1. Standardization = Onsite Task List
Because we manage over 500 servers and 6000 users, a standardized
method of management and planning is critical. On each scheduled
onsite visit, your IT Manager will work through a standardized
task list. These tasks
are critical to the operation of your company to ensure a
smooth running of your server and network. Essentially, this
is preventative maintenance to minimize emergency calls. The
less you run into emergencies, the more smoothly your business
will run. Tasks include the review of backup logs, virus detection,
network security server patches, and much more.
2. Documentation = ServiceTrack™
ServiceTrack™ is a software program
we have designed and written - allowing us to have a repository
of all our client information all in one location. We securely
track client profiles, how your network is designed, appropriate
passwords, and all special needs. If your assigned IT Manager
is unavailable for some reason, this information allows our
other IT and Help Desk Managers to access pertinent information
quickly. Any service performed for our clients is documented
fully through ServiceTrack™ –
the problem, the solution, etc. As soon as the work order
is closed, an automatic email is sent to the decision maker
and primary contact at your business. Each month, the information
from ServiceTrack™ is included right
on your bill – making it very easy to see how inhouseIT
has maintained your network.
3. Depth = Backup IT Managers
Beyond your assigned IT Manager, every account is assigned
a back up IT Manager and Account Manager. This provides you
with an assurance that we are taking care of your network
needs no matter what. By standardizing our service plans and
maintaining all client information in ServiceTrack™,
any of our IT Managers can jump in at any point to take care
of any issue that may arise.
